Electoral processes in Artsakh are important in themselves, political scientist Alexander Margarov told reporters, commenting on the forthcoming presidential elections in Artsakh.

“Presidential elections will be held in Artsakh on July 19, which is part of the political process. The phenomenon is important in itself, irrespective of election results,” Margarov stressed.

The expert said he does not agree that there is no opposition in Artsakh. According to him, there is competition in Artsakh electoral process which further consolidates society around national goals.

In return, management expert Harutyun Mesrobyan attached importance to the forthcoming presidential elections in Artsakh, noting that any electoral process in Artsakh is moral and political pressure on Azerbaijan and the international community, which has not yet recognized Artsakh.
