Armenian air defense forces will ensure the operations and all flights of civil aircrafts, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told a news conference, commenting on Baku’s statements that it will not permit the operation of Stepanakert airport. 

Seyran Ohanyan described as unsubstantiated the statements about possible resumption of military operations in Karabakh.

“Resumption of military operations is unlikely,” he said.

Referring to continuing provocations by Azerbaijan at the line of contact between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces, the Armenian Defense Minister stated that all necessary measures were taken to reinforce the border line and to improve fighting efficiency by conducting exercises even on the level of small subdivisions.

Regarding the health problems of conscripts, the Minister said that serious work is being done in the area of military medicine.
