“Most of all, I am delighted with the wide variety of programs, because there is a wide choice for everyone. The country is just wonderful. I take pleasure in walking around the city. Yerevan is a city like no other,” film director Vadim Abdrashitov told reporters in Yerevan. The film director has arrived in Yerevan for Golden Apricot International Film Festival, with his film The Time of the Dancer included in festival’s Yerevan Premieres non-competition section.

“Some of the spectators spontaneously decide to attend the festival, and it is evidence that the festival gains strength. As to guests and programs, everything is just wonderful,” the film director said.

Vadim Abdrashitov was honored with Armenian Culture Ministry Gold Medal for his significant contribution to the development of international cinematography.

“I am so happy to receive this medal, especially as it is really made out of gold,” he noted.
