Gas price set at AMD 156 per cubic meter
The Public Services Regulatory Commission met today, confirming new price for gas. The price for consumers of up to 10,000 cubic meters a month was set at AMD 156,000 for every 1,000 cubic meters including VAT. On the border, the gas price will be $270 but the Armenian government will subsidize 30% of the gas price.
Earlier, ArmRosgazprom CJSC and Transgas LLC made a request to the Public Services Regulatory Commission to reconsider natural gas prices as well as prices for the services of gas supply operator (ArmRosgazprom CJSC), gas distribution (ArmRosgazprom CJSC) and gas transportation (Transgas LLC and ArmRosgazprom CJSC).
Subsidized by the government, from July 1, 2013 the gas price will increase by 18% per cubic meter for the population.
