Azerbaijani soldiers are fed by carrion and meat of sick animals; officials however are not concerned with this problem
"The unscrupulous businessmen bought sick and even dead cows from the farmers for a pittance, and then sold the meat in counters of Baku," said the head of the Consumers Union of Azerbaijan Eyyub Huseynov, "Haqqin.az" portal reports.
"We have registered cases when the buyers would purchase from farmers animals under the agony, and even dead," he said.
According to him, often this is purchased also by the army units.
Meanwhile, they have also revealed facts of direct falsification of veterinary document, as the slaughter of cows took place without the help of veterinarian. However, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Aslan Aslanov sees no problem in this connection, as the viruses found in cow meat do not transmit to humans.
In its turn, many experts believe the statement of Deputy Minister to be incompetent and even a penal.
"How can you say that there is no problem if the markets are selling meat of sick animals? All this once again proves that the officials risk the lives of people for their own benefit, "said expert Waheed Maherramov.
