By its provocative statements Turkey reveals its intention to spread that wave toward the South Caucasus, Armenian Deputy FM says
It is obvious that Turkey’s one-sided approach and its mania to support Azerbaijan at whatever possible means in the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process disrupts the process, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said in response to an inquiry by News.am to comment on the Turkish FM recent statement within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit held in Istanbul.
As a vivid example of that, Kocharyan pointed out to the provocative statements issued by Turkey regarding the developments of April 2-5 unleashed by Baku, press department of the RA Foreign Ministry reports.
“Foreign Minister of Turkey in his speech at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation speculated on the Islamic solidarity and made a dangerous attempt to artificially present the Azerbaijani military operations against self determined Nagorno Karabakh as a religious conflict.
The policy run by the current leadership of Turkey is the result of the instability, terrorism and bloodshed wave spread within both Turkey and beyond its borders. By the abovementioned provocative statement, Turkish Foreign Minister as a matter of fact reveals an intention to spread that wave toward the South Caucasus.
We are confident that our friendly Islamic states, being well aware of the Turkish real intentions, will resist that provocation,” Kocharyan concluded.
