‘Bazhbeuk-Melikians: Two Generations’ at Armenian National Gallery
For the first time at the Armenian National Gallery, “Bazhbeuk-Melikians: Two Generations” exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Armenian renowned artist, Alexander Bazhbeuk-Melikian and his talented family, particularly Lavinia (1922-2005), Zuleika (1939) and Vazgen (1941-2004) will be presented on September 16. Armenian National Gallery informed Panorama.am that the exhibition aims to introduce the legacy of the talented family to the large public, make the art of the four bright personalities known and appreciated.
The exhibition features not only works from the permanent exhibition of the Gallery, but also the family’s private collections. The opening of the exhibition will be accompanied by the presentation of a catalogue.
A lecture on the lives and works of members of Bazhbeuk family, a concert, an interactive game-excursion are also expected during the opening. The exhibition will be curated by Margarita Khachatryan.
