Azerbaijani Defense Ministry no longer able to conceal real number of diversion casualties
According to Azerbaijani media reports, an incident occurred at a military unit deployed in the city of Naftalan, Azerbaijan, resulting in the death of military unit serviceman Namig Pirmamedov.
Deputy Head of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry press office Teymur Abdullayev confirmed the report saying that serviceman’s death was caused by violation of rules for handing arms.
Yesterday Azerbaijani media issued a report that a serviceman was gravely injured in an incident at an Azerbaijani military unit. According to some information, Alyaddin Alifagaoglu Jalilov, 19, was gravely injured as he shot himself. He was rushed to a military hospital.
According to NKR Defense Army press office, on August 31, at around 06.30 am, Azerbaijan carried out a diversion against Armenian positions in the north-east sector of Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line, near the village of Verin Chaylu.
The Azerbaijani side said the incident resulted in death of 2 Azerbaijanis, while spokesman for NKR Defense Army Commander Senor Hasratyan told panorama.am that the number of Azerbaijan’s casualties was larger – not 2 but 7. He stressed that there were cases of grave injuries among them who are unlikely to survive.
So, we can suppose that the two above mentioned incidents in Azerbaijani army relate not to incautious handling of arms but to the diversion carried out by Azerbaijan in the direction of Chaylu. In all probability, Hasratyan’s predictions are coming true, and the number of casualties keeps increasing.
