Armenian President signified struggle against turning energy resources into malicious political capital
Addressing the Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul, President Serzh Sargsyan stated it would be appropriate to focus on energy, as well as nuclear energy security-related issues as a whole.
According to president’s press office, RA President has signified struggle against turning energy resources into malicious political capital.
Its consequences, as President Sargsyan has stated, are burdensome especially for those countries that lack natural energy resources and have to seek for ways of energy independence.
“Two of the four direct neighbors of Armenia, violating norms of the international law, keep our country in a blockade for almost two decades and among many other problems leave no alternative even in energy independence,” Serzh Sargsyan said.
Concluding his remarks President Sargsyan has re-confirmed Armenia’s commitment to struggle against illegal circulation of nuclear materials, as well as our country’s determination to support international efforts in fight against terrorism.
