Serzh Sargsyan: I am not surprised at misinformation about Armenian NPP spread by Azerbaijani President
In his address to the 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit, President Serzh Sargsyan dwelt on misinformation about Armenian NPP spread by the Azerbaijani President at the Nuclear Summit.
“I am not surprised at the obvious misinformation about Armenian NPP spread by the Azerbaijani President because slandering Armenia has been Azerbaijan’s style for a long time,” the presidential press office quoted Serzh Sargsyan as saying.
“More, at the highest level, Azerbaijan spreads misinformation not only about Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, but also about documents passed by the international community. Azerbaijan even misrepresents famous United Nations Security Council resolutions on Nagorno-Karabakh, forgetting that it unleashed military operations and refused to cease them. Azerbaijan constantly makes bellicose statements and refuses to solve the Nagorno-Karabakh problem based on international law,” said Serzh Sargsyan.
According to the President, the Chernobyl accident and Fukushima tragedy aroused doubts about nuclear security. In some special cases, like Armenia, there are few alternatives to ensuring sustainable development of our people and improving its social conditions, stressed Serzh Sargsyan.
