Police say gunmen riding on a motorcycle have shot dead eight people in an attack on a laundry in southwestern Pakistan, The Miamai Herald said.

Police officer Salim Shahwani says one person was also wounded as two gunmen sprayed the laundry with bullets. Saturday's attack took place in a commercial area of Quetta, the capital of southwestern Baluchistan province.

Shahwani says the victims were from Punjab province and were inside the laundry at the time of the attack. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
