Zakaryan: Eurasian Economic Union to be established in coming month
Taking into consideration the statement made recently in Minsk, a document on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union will be drafted and signed in the coming month, Artak Zakaryan, chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, told a press conference on Wednesday.
Thus, Armenia will become one of the countries founding the Eurasian Economic Union, with all decisions to be made by consensus, he noted.
Cooperation with the European Union is on the agenda of Armenia, Zakaryan said, adding that Armenia will continue its multi-vector policy, trying to maintain balanced relations with those states and international organizations which are interested in peaceful and stable development in Armenia and the region.
