French President to visit Armenia next year – Nalbandian
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with French President Francois Hollande in Paris on Monday morning. The first part of the meeting addressed bilateral relations, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said after the trilateral meeting of the Armenian, French and Azerbaijani leaders, a Panorama.am correspondent reports.
“We have special political relations with France: political dialogue, cooperation in international formats as well as within European institutions. We develop trade and economic, inter-parliamentary and inter-governmental ties. We have many topics to discuss and any presidential meeting also enables to make progress on matters of the bilateral agenda,” said the Minister.
Mr Nalbandian noted that during the trilateral meeting the sides discussed international and regional issues. These discussions showed that Armenia and Azerbaijan may have similar approaches on some matters, he said.
Edward Nalbandian also said that French President Francois Hollande is expected to visit Armenia in the first half of next year.
