A mass requiem in memory of slain military doctor Vahe Avetyan was held at Yerevan’s Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral Sunday, August 5, on the initiative of Vahe’s friends, Vahe Avetyan Civil Initiative said.

Vahe Avetyan died on June 29 after being severely beaten at Harsnakar restaurant on June 17. Police have launched criminal proceedings in connection with the incident. Six men, most of them restaurant security guards, have been arrest
