In accordance to the results of the monitoring held by the Azerbaijani Center for Military journalistic research, the losses of the security and defense sector of Azerbaijan during the current year are 69 people, reports Azerbaijani news agency “Salamnews”.

It is noted in the statement that 74 were injured during the past term of the current year. 9 servicemen died in combat during the mentioned period, 60 people died in non-combat conditions.

According to the statement, 9 people died in accidents, 12 - in driving accidents, 3 - in helicopter crashes, 3 - by unknown reasons, 2 - by carelessness, 1 was killed by a civilian, 9 died as a result of non-statutory actions, 9 - from illnesses, 15 - committed suicide. 54 servicemen were from the ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, 4 from State Border Service, 7 – from Internal Troops of Azerbaijan, 1 from Ministry of Emergency Situations.
