Erdogan to be sued in Turkey over threats to deport Armenians
Referring to Erdogan’s statement in London over deporting 100,000 Armenians living in Turkey, Turkey’s former Minister of Labor and Social Security Yasar Okuyan assessed the deed as criminal, as a confession of a crime to be investigated into by the Supreme Court, Anka reported.
“These statements bring about serious political confrontations. At the protocol signing period the PM commented on the Armenian-Turkish normalization process from the humanistic point of view. This very PM manifests a serious political confrontation by saying 'will deport the Armenians' now", former Minister said.
Besides this political confrontation, there is another even more dangerous consequence: as Okuyan said, the statement is a confession of an offence, moreover, Turkey’s Labor Minister Omer Dincher also faces a trial.
Okuyan said he is intent to bring a lawsuit against PM Erdogan and Labor Minister to the Supreme Court tomorrow.
