Azerbaijani forces open fire at Armenian villager; criminal case filed
Armenia’s Investigation Committee filed a criminal case over attempted murder of an Armenian villager by Azerbaijani forces out of ethnic, racial or religious hatred, the Investigation Committee’s press service said.
At around 2:00 pm local time on October 2, a 25-year-old resident of Choratan village, in Tavush province of Armenia, was in Nerkin Shen area, near the village, with his ZIL-130 truck, to transport sand for the construction of his house, when shots were fired at him and his truck by the Azerbaijani forces. The vehicle was damaged as a result of the shooting.
A criminal case was opened. An investigation is underway.
