Turkish women learn how to defend themselves against their husbands
Turkish human rights group ŞEFKAT-DER launched a project in the city of Konya aimed at teaching women how to defend themselves from men’s violence. Under the project, women should be able to defend themselves with arms.
According to CNNTurk, shooting lessons are being held in Konya involving women who suffered from violence. 10 women participate in the lessons. They open fire at a target depicting a man.
We will remind that the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence campaign started on 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and will run through 10 December, Human Rights Day.
