Emergency airline to be set up in Armenia
Armenia’s Emergency Ministry plans to set up an emergency airline - MES AIR. It will be a SNCO operating within the Emergency Ministry.
The draft decision, submitted by Emergency Minister Armen Yeritsyan, will be discussed at the cabinet meeting due on March 6.
The aim of the airline will be to participate in the humanitarian mission of the Armenian-Russian Humanitarian Center; to prevent, reduce and liquidate possible consequences of emergency situations; to carry out air transportation of rescuers and rescue crews; to transport rescue equipment; to carry out firefighting operations with the help of planes and helicopters; to prevent and reduce possible consequences of other emergency situations; to transport and evacuate population and victims; to transport humanitarian cargos, etc.
