“National Instruments” center opens in Yerevan
The “Incubator Enterprises” fund has signed an agreement of mutual understanding with the American “National Instruments” organization. Trade and economics minister Nerses Yeritsyan and assistant director of the Asian division of “National Instruments,” Victor Meyers, signed the contract.
According to Yeritsyan, the contract was signed as part of the “Information Technology Month” taking place in Yerevan during the months of September-October. The contract was also signed by those in Armenia responsible for carrying out work in the field. Early work in the program has already started; the American organization has opened the first such center in the region, thus expanding its work in the region of the former Soviet Union. Five experts are currently working in the center, each prepared in Russia, America, and India. Not only that, the center is already receiving orders.
The minister hoped that the cooperation with the American organization would create opportunities for investment in technology and engineering in Armenia. Special attention will be placed on the retooling of technology and engineering laboratories.
We point out that this is not the first time representatives from the American organization have visited Armenia, as they have organized engineering and technical seminars in the National Academy of Science, as well as in Gyumri. It is a result of these visits that the organization decided to open the center in Armenia.
