NEAR GENOCIDE MONUMENT BIG CITY FROM BRONZE AGE FOUND
“Because of the excavations carried out near the monument of Armenian Genocide a big city from Bronze Age is found,” said Arevik Avetisyan, the press secretary of Armenian Genocide Museum – Institute.
According to her the traces and the data of the founding goes back to the period of Urartu Kingdom. A. Avetisyan also mentioned that some indefinite hints of the city existed, but there were not any serious research. According to her the more the excavation lasts, the more new things they find, for example crypts are found.
The press secretary said that they plan to continue the excavations in spring, and to make the place as sightseeing.
