KHANTI – MANSIYSK. L. ARONYAN AND V. HAKOBYAN AT THIRD STAGE
World winner, Armenian Grand Master Levon Aronyan gained the victory at the second stage by 1.5:0.5 scores; his competitor was Jan Goustakhsoni presenting Germany. This victory gave our Grand Master to participate in the next stage, and here his competitor will be Russian Ernesto Inarkiev.
Another Armenian Grand Master Vladimir Hakobyan also won his competitor Ehsan Gayem Maghami. His competitor of the third stage will be defined after Malakhov – Volkov couple.
Note that World Chess Cup competition takes place in Khanti – Mansiysk, Russia. The competition started in November 24 and will finish in December 19. The competition takes place in knockout system.
