“The mission of the “Woman” international festival is to re-interpret the role and the position of the woman in the public: to associate with films and to educate with films,” said Narine Djrbashyan, the organizer and the supervisor of the festival. According to her, this festival creates a special atmosphere for the women to self express.

“The festival consists of competitive and guest parts: in the first: competitive part only women producers can participate, and in the guest part; both women and men are invited,” said N. Djrbashyan. In the guest part the films of Israeli, Mongols, and Russian producers will be presented.

43 films from 17 countries will be presented in the competitive part. “We prepared a special prize for the winner and diplomas will be given by our jury,” said Djrbashyan. She also specified one thing: in the region this kind of festival takes place only in Armenia.
