The winter holidays in the country start from December 24. L. Mkrtchyan, the minister of education confirmed the education plan. According to the plan the holidays in 2007-2008 are organized as followed: Autumn holidays for third to eleventh forms: October 29 – November 4, winter holidays: December 24 – January 6, spring holidays: March 17 -23.

According to the Education Ministry the schedule of the holidays for the first form pupils is: autumn holidays: October 29 – November 11, winter holidays: December 24 – January 20, and spring holidays: March 10-23. The holidays of the second form pupils will last from October 29 November 4, December 24 – January 20, March 10 – 23.

Note that the schools can coordinate the dates of the holidays with the education ministry. The coordination mainly depends on the heating problem in some schools. Usually the autumn, winter, and spring holidays are combined.
