CUSTOMS SERVICE LEADERS’ COUNCIL STARTED IN YEREVAN
Today started the 46th session of CIS countries customs service leaders’ council in Yerevan. The delegations from Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan were present at the session.
According to Armen Avetisyan, the aim of the session is to raise and find solutions created in the Customs service in the CIS countries. “The council works with success and we chose the country who will lead and act as secretary of the group, and Russia is the country with presidential rights, an we must cooperate with them,” said A. Avetisyan.
According to the president of the committee one of the most important lines is Riga – Moscow line, which considers to be legal information body. The system is seriously supervised and the commodity circulation among those countries is examined.
According to him they revised the policy against the contraband but every country still risk factor is obvious.
Note that the meeting of the customs service leaders takes place in the end of every session. Armenia signed an agreement with all the CIS countries about “cooperation and assistance in the customs affairs”.
