“The theatre world is monopolized in our country; somebody gathers his friends and everytime presents the role only to them,” said Hasmik Ter-Karapetyan today in a press conference. According to her the directors of the theatres are suborned and those who are devoted to the theatre life get out of it, whereas they could become great actors.

“We have such theatres and culture centers which should to be kept and protected. They must be protected by the country itself, as cultural values keep the ideology of the country. And we must follow the ideology of our country in these difficult conditions,” said she. According to the actress there must be verities of theaters like academic, etc. “Our government disposes little many to the theaters as today there are many theatres,” said she. Actor Hovhannes Babakhanyan, who was present at the discussion, said that there are traditions which should be kept. “Soon we’ll have an independent stage, but the other theatres should remain also,” said H. Babakhanyan.
