A new operator will enter into the mobile market of Armenia starting from next year. Robert Nazaryan, chairman of public services regulatory committee, told a session today that an international tender will be held on May 1, 2008. He said a committee will be formed and 90 days later, in August, the name of the operator will be known. In his words, the third operator will raise the quality of service and will contribute to lower prices. The chairman assured the third operator is needed for healthy competition. According to Nazaryan, concrete individuals have already applied to the committee to learn about the legislative acts regulating the sector.
