RA ombudsman representatives’ group visited assembly point of the Defense Ministry. One of the master sergeants of the assembly point presented the everyday activities and the conscription process. The group members walked around the assembly union, talked with the conscripts, got acquainted with the work of the medical committee. According to ombudsman office, there were no violations registered.

Whereas they registered that the hall and the corridor of the medical examination entrance needs to be rebuilt, and besides there were many conscripts in front of the medical service room, and there were not enough chairs for everybody. Besides, there were not necessary conditions for those who passed their medical examination, the conscripts had to wait under open air.

The representatives of the ombudsman office met with the general of the assembly union and talked about the mentioned inconveniences. The general said that compared with last years they have better conditions, but still they need some support to improve the service.

Though the meeting passed without violations, but three conscripts from Arabkir military committee came to the representatives of human rights and said that they were illegally taken to the assembly union without any call-up paper, and they did not manage to say “good buy” to their parents.

The representative of military and conscripts questions presented the case to the military committee and asked to explain the announcement of the conscripts. According to the committee member, the three conscripts escaped to pass their military service for several times. The member of the committee refused that the boys were taken without ay call-up paper. The ombudsman office representatives said that they should continue studying the case.
