“SUPERVISING GROUP CREATED TO CHECK FOODSTUFFS SECURITY”
The 19th meeting of CIS member countries took place, and the following countries participated in the meeting: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, and Ukraine. The CIS member country leaders discussed particularly agricultural foodstuffs questions. The information is provided to Panorama.am by Andranik Petrosyan, the head of foreign affairs and marketing department of Agricultural Ministry.
“Several important questions were discussed, like the development of foodstuffs security, the creation of general, common market. A special supervising group will be formed to guarantee the security of the foodstuffs,” said A. Petrosyan.
A proposal of Russia to establish the centre of preparing CIS agricultural specialists in the agricultural academy of Moscow was discussed in the meeting also. “The proposal was accepted by the CIS members, as they realize that to create united market strong agricultural centers are needed,” he said.
