PROBLEM OF DRINKING WATER SOLVED IN MARTAKERT
In December 21 special event was held in Martakert, NK: the pipes of drinking water were reconstructed by “Armenia” foundation and opened on that day. Vahe Aghabekyanc the executive director of the foundation and Ararat Khlghatyan the deputy director were present at the event. According to the press office of the foundation, the president of NK Bako Sahakyan and the Prime Minister Ara Harutunyan were also present at the pipe opening ceremony.
More than 7000 inhabitants of Martakert and the regions nearby can be served by the pipe. The reconstruction of the water pipeline cost 1 billion drams and it carried out by means of “TV Marathon 2005”. Note that Martakert was seriously destroyed during the war time.
