Today the Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received Vladimir Yakunin, the president of “Russian Railway” company.

According to the press and public relations department of the Government, the Prime Minister said that the Armenian Government treats country’s transport problems seriously and its development is one of the major questions in Armenian economy. And both in international and inner relations railway transport means are of great importance.

The Prime Minster announced that taking into account the significance of the railway tramsport situation in Armenia, the Government decided to transfer Armenian railway into consensus governing. He said that this kind of governing should imrove the condition of railway in Armenia, carry out secure and effective transition of goods and keep its activities in accordance with the international standards.

The Prime Minister said that the Government will but help and support the development of the consensus. Yakunin appreciated the words of the Prime Minister and added that he was aware of the responsibility on his shoulders. He said that he is ready to accomplish the mission of the company.
