40 LEGAL AMBULANCE CARS WORKING
“Legal Initiative, elections 2008” organized legal aids to people from January 15 to March 15. It is possible to phone 080-080-804 hot line, which is free of charge, and get advice. The mission of the project is to help those who need some legal advice in the period of presidential elections.
Today Gayane Markosyan, the co-director of the program met with the journalists and said that they created branches in 10 marzes except Ararat. She said that 40 legal ambulance cars will work on the day of the elections.
According to Markosyan “legal ambulance cars” will provide people with a lawyer, observer, journalist and political activists. The mission of the plan is not only recovering people’s rights but also to prevent their accomplishment.
Markosyan also said that such activities should be carried out the whole year long, not only in the days of the elections. She said that the results of the violation cases are so high as people are not aware of their rights a all.
