PRIME MINISTER AWARDED CHESS COMPETITION CHAMPION
Today Serzh Sargsyan, the Prime Minister and the president of Armenian chess federation awarded Karen Asryan, the champion of Armenian chess competition with golden medal. The information is available on the official website of the federation.
Note that Asryan became champion for the second time. He managed to gain the title of champion only after the 8th circle.
Artashes Minasyan gained the second place and 14 years old Samvel Ter-Sahakyan gained the third place. Note that Ter-Sahakyan managed to provide scores for Grand Master’s title. Tigran Petrosyan who was the leader of the competition managed to gain the fifth horizontal.
Today Armenian chess competition for women finished also, and Lilit Galoyan became the champion of the competition. Note that the winners are given the chance to participate in National team.
