“AIRFLOT OPEN” SUCCESSFUL BEGINNING
“Airflot Open” chess international competition started. After the game of “A1” was over, Armenian grand master, and champion Karen Asryan gained his first score winning Russian grand master Sergey Lonov. Now he is in the fourth horizontal of the competition.
Artashes Minasyan finished his first game successfully also. His competitor was Sergey Voloktin presenting Ukraine. Vladimir Hakobyan’s and Rauf Mamedov’s game and Tigran Kotandjyan’s and Aleksey Aleksandrov;s games finished successfully also. They have 0.5 scores each and are in the middle horizontals of the competition.
14 years old Samvel Ter-Sahakyan playing in the second group successfully ended his game and won international masterJohn Paul Gomez from Philippines.
Note that the champion of “A1” group will get 30 thousands dollars and “A2” champion-12 thousands dollars. The champion of “B” group will get 5000 dollars, and the winner of the fourth group-3000 dollars. The competition total fund is 100 thousands dollars. The competition will last till 22 February.
