LEVON ARONYAN THIRD PLACE
The third circle of the Morella-Linares chess competition finished and Levon Aronyan, the champion of “Chorus Chess 2008” is in the third horizontal. Aronyan’s competitor was Azeri Taimur Radjabov. The game ended in a draw.
Note that Aronyan lost a game in the first part, and after won Indian Vishvanat Anand in the second part. So, after the third circle, Vesselin Topalov is in the first horizontal, Vishvanat Anand in the second. Ukrainian Vasili Ivanchuk and Israeli Peter Lenkon are in the fifth and sixth horizontals.
The first part of the competition is held from 15 to 23 February in Morella, Mexico. The second part will be held from 28 February to 7 March, in Linares, Spain. Note that this competition is held for the third time. The champion of the competition is Vadim Milov presenting Sweden.
