DISCUSSION WITH DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER ON YEREVAN WATER SERVICE
Today Hovik Abrahamyan the deputy Prime Minister held a meeting-discussion with “Yerevan-Water” CSJC on the current activities of the company. According to the regional administrative ministry public relations department other officials from the ministry were also present at the discussion: Andranik Andreasyan and the chief director of “Yerevan Water” CSJC Serzh Popoff.
According to the source, the board of directors presented the 2007 carried out projects’ brief description. In the result of those projects the security system of the water was improved, and the quality of the drinking water was also improved. In order to be available for the consumers “1-85” telephone was established.
In 2007 1.9billion drams were transferred to the state budget. Whereas, there are still a lot of work to be done. In 2007 the company invested money to improve the water system in different regions Shengavit, Noragavit, Arabkir by financial support of World Bank 22 million dollars credit project and company’s own means.
In 2008 the investment program will be continued in Zeytun, Kanaker, Sari-Tagh, Nork-Marash, Eghvard City, Garni, Aramus, villages, and other places.
