RDBM INTENDS TO VISIT ARMENIA
The Reconstruction and Development Bank of Moscow (RDBM) plans to create bank sector for Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan. The information is provided by “Commersant. Business Guide”, which held an interview with the managing director of the bank Sergey Zaytsev.
He mentioned about the plans of the bank to enter developing markets. “The markets in CIS countries differ by their level of development, in some cases the non state bank system is just being developed, and in another countries they have already developed. Thus we consider Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan to be the countries where we plan to start the bank system entrance,” he said.
He added that in these countries the negotiations started with the working groups, and the legislation is being examined, besides the consumer preferences, banking services, consumer demands and population welfare are being analyzed.
Note that RDBM was founded in January 29, 1993. This current bank is the authorized bank of Moscow Government. In 2005 RDBM entered investment insurance system. In 2008 International Moody’s Invertors Service and Fitch Ratings agencies reaffirmed RDBM rate as “stable”.
