LAND EXTENSION DOES NOT SOLVE IMMIGRATION
Today in Noravank Foundation a lecture was held on “The face of poverty in Armenia; its principles” item. The author of the report is PHD Harutyun Marutyan scientist of the RA Sciences National Academy.
According to the official web site of the foundation the report is based on method quality investigation and the author when presenting the survey did not speak of any figures. The report was based on “Stories about Poverty” books the author of which is Harutyun Marutyan himself and his colleagues. The books cover in detailed interviews done with the poor people and authors’ analysis. And the second book on the current item published recently covers the same families which gave interviews in 1994-2000. The mission was to found out the changes and the dynamic of those 33 families.
The analysis of the material in 1994-2005 about the poor families showed that there are some changes but what kind of changes they were, whether they were in the results of the economic growth in Armenia which is announced.
The author mentioned that the land extension in Armenia does not have its positive impacts as the immigration process is not stopped and vice versa it keeps growing.
