CEREMONIES DEVOTED TO ALEXANDER SHIRVANZADE’S 150 ANNIVERSARY
Today the state officials: the minister of culture Hasmik Poghosyan, the president of writers’ union Levon Ananyan, deputy mayor Kamo Areyan put flowers on the tomb of Alexander Shirvanzade. Today the 150 anniversary of the famous Armenian writer was celebrated.
“150 anniversary is an important event and it should be celebrated. It is the day when we should think carefully and remember what Shirvanzade has done for our nation,” said H. Poghosyan.
Some events devoted to the writer will take place in the schools, a seminar will be organized in Kapan, and books will be published during the year.
“Haypost” company will publish stamps devoted to Shirvanzade. Some ceremonies and events will be held in Tbilisi and Armenian rural communities also.
