REWARDED BY FRITYOFF NANSEN MEDALS
Today the presentation of “Armenia and Middle East” Frityoff Nansen’s, and “Frityoff Nansen, the researcher” Edward Sheklton’s books translations from English into Armenian took place; and Felix Bakhshyan’s book presentation took place. According to Astghik Gevorgyan, the president of journalists’ union the books are to fill the gap in Armenian literature.
Academician Fadey Sargsyan said that he is happy Armenians have chance to read Nansen’s books in Armenian.
According to Felix Bakhshyan, the chairman of Nansen’s foundation, in his translations the articles written by Armenian writers devoted to Nansen have been published.
He said that the foundation has been established since 2002. According to him soon in Adjapniak region Nansen monument will be placed and Nansen museum will be opened by the support of Vahagn Hovnanyan in Vahagn district.
