23-25 SPORTSMEN PRESENT ARMENIA IN OLYMPIC GAMES
23-25 sportsmen from Armenia will take part in Olympic Games in Pekin, said the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Armen Grigoryan in a meeting with journalists today.
He said that the figure is not definite yet as the International Olympic Committee should confirm it. “Every country is given white cards invitation in every Olympic Games which is decided by IOC,” said the minister. Possibly swimming and light athletic will be receive the cards.
“All the organizational problems are solved and for this reason special committee is formed to meet the requirements,” he said and added that the special uniforms of our sportsmen are already ready which are in the colorings of Armenian flag.
The minister said that the uniforms are made by “Adidas” company. Albert Azaryan will hold our flag during the march. He also said that the sportsmen are under medical control all the time.
