ARMENIAN CHURCHES BECOME GEORGIAN
In total there are six Armenian churches in Georgia which are being Georganised, said Hovakim priest Manukyan, the director of inter-church relations office, in a press conference today. Five churches are in Tbilisi and the sixth is in Akhalckha.
“We wish the churches to get back as they belong to Georgian-Armenian church looking back to history” he said. During the Soviet era Armenian churches have been robbed and destroyed bit now it is time to return them back to their owner as they are part of Armenian cultural heritage.
Law “on Religion” does not work in Georgia which is a serious gap. Correspondent activities should be taken to register the churches and define the ownership.
