“A1+” CLAIM UPHOLDS
The European Court of Human Rights has upheld the claim of Meltex Ltd and Mesrop Movsesyan vs. the Republic of Armenia, said lawyer Tigran Ter-Esayan to the Panorama.am reporter. According to him the European Court considered that by declining to provide broadcasting license to “A1+” article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights was violated.
Hence, the Republic of Armenia is authorized to pay EUR 20.000 moral damage and 10.000 for other expenses to “Meltex” company. Note that tomorrow Gevorg Kostanyan, the deputy minister and the authorized representative of the RA in the Court will comment on the today’s event.
