“URARTU” IN HERMITAGE MUSEUM
This year the 100 anniversary of archeologist, orientalist, historian Boris Piatrovski’s is celebrated. In 1964-1990 Piatrovski has been the director of Hermitage Museum. In this regard a museum will be opened from October 28 till January 25, 2009 in Hermitage on “At the Foot of Ararat”, reported the Museum of History of Armenia.
Totally 90 art issues will be presented in Hermitage which belong to the collection of History Museum. One will be presented by the Museum of Erebuni.
Note that in February in the Museum of Erebuni an exhibition has been conducted devoted to Piatrovski. On February 14 an exhibition was conducted in Hermitage devoted to 100 anniversary of Boris Piatrovski where 200 art issues were presented.
