“IN 1915 TURKEY LOST ITS HUMANITY”
“I am thankful to my Hranush granny otherwise our meeting would not take place,” said Fetthie Chety Turkish lawyer in a meeting with the journalists and staff of National Library. Chety says he is not a writer but memoirs of his grandmother encouraged him to write “My Grandmother” book.
The writer remembers his Granny telling about Armenian Genocide in 1915. First the women were afraid of thinking aloud about their suffer, but after 60 years his grandmother told the truth.
Fetthie Chety remembers that their school history manuals were keeping silent about that Genocide. But the Granny’s stories made him to work on this harder.
According to the Turkish writer in 1915 Turkey and people living there lost their sense of humanity.
