PEDRO EUSTACHE: “JIVAN GASPARYAN MY DUDUK MASTER”
“Jivan is one of the best artists and musicians I have ever met, he seems to be my father, we know each other quite well. He is an extremely modest man,” says Pedro Eustache, famous flutist and composer who arrived in Armenia to take part in Jivan Gasparyan’s jubilee concert devoted to his 80th anniversary. “I have been on stages with many famous people and I have played for Presidents, high ranking officials. One thing is important for me, the inner life of a person,” he says. Pedro Eustache says that Jivan Gaspatyan taught him to play duduk and other Armenian musical instruments.
Member of Alan Parsons Live Project says that although he hasn’t seen Jivan Gasparyan before, but he knows him as he has watched “Gladiator”.
Remind that on November 11 a jubilee concert devoted to 80th anniversary of famous Armenian duduk player Jivan Gasparyan will take place in Yerevan. Famous musicians Zucchero, Alan Parsons Live Project, Planet X, as well as Boris Grebenshikov, Evgeni Petrosyan, Anna Mailyan, Flora Martirosyan, Ararat Petrosyan will take part in the concert.
