ARMENIAN CHESS TEAM TO WIN FAVOURITES OF OLYMPIAD
Armenian chess team of men defeated Russian team in World Chess 38th Olympiad by 2,5-1,5 points. Before Armenian and Russian teams were leading the first horizontals of the Olympiad but currently Armenian team is the only one to lead the tournament.
Currently Armenian team has 13 points; Germany, Israel and France have 12 each and Russia, Ukraine and China – 11 points each.
After 4 rounds the champion team of the Olympiad will be defined, and Armenian team hasmet only 2 main competitors of us. In the next round Armenian men team will meet with French.
Armenian women team has also had a successful meeting with Austrian group defeating them by 3-1 points. Next step is the team of Azerbaijan.
