CHESS NEWS FROM NANJING AND ELISTA
The second half of the super GM Tournament in Nanjing commences on December 17. In this round Armenian medalist of World Chess 38th Olympiad Levon Aronyan was defeated by Bulgarian Vesselin Topalov. Chinese chess player Bu Xiangzhi defeated Sergey Movsisyan who present Slovakia and Peter Svidler and Vasily Ivanchuk pair ended in draw.
Note that in FIDE “Grand Prix” in Elista Armenian GM Vladimir Hakobyan ended his game in draw for the third time. Hakobyan’s next rival is Vugar Gashimov. The leader of the competition is Azeri Teimur Radjabov.
