“PAN-ARMENIAN” BANK IS TO IMPROVE ARMENIANS’ COMPETITIVENESS IN WORLD
The law “on Pan-Armenian Bank” is a simple one, said the President of Central Bank of Armenia Arthur Djavadyan during National Assembly session. According to him, the founder of the bank will be either Republic of Armenia or the Central Bank. The legislative stock will be 100 million USD, and the supervisor of the bank will be CB. A. Djavadyan said that the bank is going to have two major principles; first, it should make investments in profitable fields only and the second, it should not compete with other commerce banks. The bank should support to “development of Armenian competitiveness in the world”.
In this regard, independent deputy Viktor Dallakyan made a request – how will the bank increase Armenians’ competitiveness in the world? The President of CB answered that the bank can finance a project of French Armenian businessman, if that project will contribute to the development of Armenia. The President did not notify how a project implemented abroad can contribute to the Armenian development.
