World suffer financial-economic crisis and appropriate measures are to meet the challenge. When will it be marked in Armenia and generally on what stage are we? Doctor Suren Poghosyan of the Yerevan State Economic University says that he thinks the crisis is the aftermath of providing unqualified loans and hypothecs. “Hence the economic institutes – the banks, suffered it most,” said Poghosyan during a discussion on this issue.

“Armenia was lucky as we did not suffer its first wave,” said Poghosyan. According to him the current conditions have two directions – financial and micro-economic. The expert says that tourism, mining and private transfers and international investments will suffer most because of the crisis.

Gagik Aghdjanyan, the president of “Apaven” company says that some decrease in freight transfer is noticeable. According to Suren Poghosyan in spring the crisis will be marked in Armenia more heavily.
